Scikit-learn is an open source project, meaning that scikit-learn is free to use and distribute, and anyone can easily obtain the source code to see what is going on behind the scenes. The scikit learn project is constantly being developed and improved, and has a very active user community. It contains a number of state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. Installing Scikit-learn


Scikit-learn depends on two other python packages, NumPy and SciPy. For plotting and interactive development, you should install matplotlib, IPython and Jupyter notebook. 


Anaconda (https://www.anaconda.com/products/individual) : Anaconda Individual Edition is the world’s most popular Python distribution platform with over 20 million users worldwide. A python distribution made for large scale data processing, predictive analysis and scientific computing.


If you have already python setup, you can use pip to install any of these packages.

 $ pip install numpy scipy matplotlib ipython scikit-learn
